I’ve wanted to team up with Orlebar Brown for as long I can remember so I could share with you, their amazing women’s surf line. It’s the most fashionable gear in the market hands down. I love their printed pieces more than anything. and they make their men’s swim trunks just like them. I hope you like the photo’s we had blast shooting them. Below is a short interview with Orlebar. Miami-based style blogger Nikole Powers took our new season rash guards on a road test in the surf. Taking to the waves in our Gia, Jennifer one-piece, and Luisa styles, she told us how they held up in and out of the water and gave us the rundown on South Florida’s hot spots:
How did you get into blogging?
I started blogging in 2008 as an inspiration board for my friends and I. As time passed it slowly evolved into a style diary. I really got into photography and wanted to document my outfits.
What are the best things about living in Miami?
I love living in Miami. The culture and sunny weather are hard to beat. We also host so many great events here like Art Basel. It’s one of the best events of the year!
Tell us your five favorite places to go/ shop/eat/be?
I have so many but my top place would be Soho beach house. I’m there all the time. My favorite restaurant is Mandolin; it’s a Mediterranean gem. I also really love Scarpetta for Italian. For shopping, I love wandering around the Design District and Bal Harbour Shops.
What did you like about the pieces?
I loved every piece. The fit was so great. My favorite was the ‘Jennifer’. I loved the zip front and nice high neckline. It’s the chicest of surf gear out there. I really just love rash guards in general because they’re also great for protecting your skin from the sun.
