I’ve wanted to do a post like this for some time. I get a lot of questions about my workout routines, eating habits and just overall health regiment. I also get a lot of questions about workout gear and fit.
For those of you who follow me on SnapChat or Instagram know that I am a sucker for matching sports bra and pants. I also workout four to five days a week, so I like to have a lot of options and plenty to choose from. RBX Active has been my go to for really cute affordable workout clothes. They have a lot of options all under $30 dollars. Which opposed to some other brands is pretty inexpensive. Their pants have a lot of cute detailing like mesh inserts and color blocking. The fit is really great too. I always wear a small for reference. I am attaching the links below for the outfit that I am wearing in the post.
Now for the workout! Honestly, I’ve tried everything. Yoga, Pilates, Trainers, Cross Fit, all sorts of classes and my tried and true workout is running. I know most people hate running and if you have injuries it’s impossible. But running is something I really feel is worth giving a try if you don’t already. It burns a ton or calories! If you are running, three to four times, three to four miles a week you can eat just about anything and not gain weight. Within reason of course, if you are trying to drop weight. Eating healthy and running will show you results in a less than a week. Another major factor for me is you can do it anywhere. I travel a lot so I can’t get to caught up in only classes or only trainers. I need something that I can count on no matter where I am. Even more, it’s a great way to check out a new city in the morning when it’s still quite. That is my big secret for maintaining weight. Just run!
For toning and flexibility is a whole other situation and equally important if you are running. I really like Yoga for stretching and meditation and I like pilates using the mega reformers for toning. If you have not tried a mega reformers pilates class yet. Get ready to die. The first time I tried a class I couldn’t move the next day and that’s not an exaggeration. It’s hard, I’ve seen in shape male athletes taking breaks! I use Jet Set on Miami Beach and in Wynwood.
Eating habits: I eat a pretty healthy diet. Food wise I do really well. I don’t eat a lot of dairy, or fried foods. I don’t eat red meat or chicken at all. However, I have a sweet tooth because everyone has their weakness. Haribo gummy bears and any type of pastries or cookie I have zero will power around. That’s where all running comes in handy.
I am going to do a separate post on this and share all of the vitamins and supplements I take. As well as some vegan recipes I really like and eat weekly.
